<p>The registers look similar but they work quite differently, The Bank and Credit card registers are strictly column based.</p>
<p>The Investment register on the other hand is based on a few variable factors. firstly the Action type, this to start with determines what fields are active for the following transaction, the action types must be one of the pre-defined types, so your download would have to have a field like this that also meets the rules, the types were defined by Intuit many years ago. Depending on action type some fields become mandatory others optional, Transactions like Transfers need to have a sign to indicate which direction the transfer it in.</p>
<p>I have a Managed fund that only provides CSV data and while the data is all there I would have to write a program that does some heavy duty data parsing to structure it into something that could be imported.</p>
<p>If you data really does meet the rules there is an add on for excel that will create a QIF file that Moneydance can import</p>
