Thank you for contacting us.
When you access the Portfolio Report, can you double-click on the shares that you want to remove it should take you to the other side of those shares and you should be able to delete them from there.

I apologise in advance if I misunderstood the result you wish to achieve.

I'm not a VG client so I'm not familiar with their inner workings but this sounds like a simple pairing of a Sell txn and a Buy txn.

When the use of the Prime Money Market Fund was discontinued, the shares of that fund should have been sold with the proceeds of the sale going to the purchase of the new ("something else") fund. Thus zeroing out the Prime MM Fund shares.

talking about Portfolio View, see attached screen shot the view I get. I
can't delete the shares because then the account becomes unbalanced. I need
to somehow balance out those shares so that the value is 0. But does not
increase the cash value of the account.

Or if by Portfolio Report you mean something else, please let me know what
that is, thank you.

cdsandlertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/430763642017-07-28T16:21:54Z2017-07-28T16:21:54ZRemoving shares

Kevin -
When the Prime Money Market fund was discontinued, there was only $53 in it
which went into the something else fund. However, the amount left was
$1,131.39 (incorrect) which is what I want to get rid of without having an effect on cash totals. I don't know how to do this. The amount is
incorrect, so it should not go into the something else fund.

Any suggestions? Thanks again for your help.

cdsandlertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/430763642017-07-28T21:45:27Z2017-07-28T21:45:27ZRemoving shares

Hi cdsandler,

Per your screenshot, looking at the few txns that are shown in the table, it looks as though you have not accounted correctly for a number of txns.

The 2 Buy txns dated 06/12/2015 and 06/19/2015 each show 0 shares although both txns show an amount of $47.00 and $180.00 respectively.

The 3 Buy txns dated 09/16/2015, 09/18/2015 and 12/04/2015 each show 0 shares for $0.00. I am suspect of these txns and their validity.

Again, the Buy txns dated 03/21/2013 and 09/21/2016 show 0 shares but show an amount of $50.00 and $53.00 respectively.

I think that you should take some time and get the accounting corrected for this fund.

It's impossible to make shares disappear without it having some negative causal effect elsewhere.
