Hi Mike,
Thank you for contacting us.
A Yahoo support representative has confirmed that Yahoo Finance API has been discontinued.
From the changes that have been made, it seems like Yahoo is trying to prevent people from automated downloading like Moneydance (and so many others) are doing.
Our lead developer has mentioned that we may be able to make a change, that means the Moneydance connection will pose as a browser, rather than a program. This may allow the connection. However, it seems very likely that this will turn into a 'cat-and-mouse' game.
The current workaround is to navigate to Extensions and Select Quotes and Exchange Rates and change the Historical Security Prices to Google Finance. If certain prices are missing after that, you can download the quotes in a cvs file and import them by navigating to Tools > Securities > Edit then Import.
You can also update the current prices through the Security Price Entry extension in the Extensions menu.
We are looking into other services we can use instead to resume the automatic downloads.

I am not support staff just a user.
Google and Yahoo have both stopped there free service.
With the latest build of Moneydance 2017 from https://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software
And the latest version of the Q & ER extension, quotes and exchange prices are obtained from Alpha Vantage. When you set the source for the downloads in the Q & ER you will be given a link to Alhpa Vantage to obtain a free key. Enter the key as instructed and proceed from there.
If Alpha Vantage does not return price, seem out of date or gives inaccurate data for your securities try the stand-alone program to obtain price and import them into Moneydance. See this post in thread http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/investments/3036-third-par...
