Investment will not update
Hi for some reason my shares have not updated since the beginning of July think i have checked everything but must have done something wrong please can you help. Also on the iPad version it does not show my securities is this going to be a feature in the future.

Thank you for contacting us.
A Yahoo support representative has confirmed that Yahoo Finance API has been discontinued.
From the changes that have been made, it seems like Yahoo is trying to prevent people from automated downloading like Moneydance (and so many others) are doing.
Our lead developer has mentioned that we may be able to make a change, that means the Moneydance connection will pose as a browser, rather than a program. This may allow the connection. However, it seems very likely that this will turn into a 'cat-and-mouse' game.
The current workaround is to navigate to Extensions and Select Quotes and Exchange Rates and change the Historical Security Prices to Google Finance. If certain prices are missing after that, you can download the quotes in a cvs file and import them by navigating to Tools > Securities > Edit then Import.
You can also update the current prices through the Security Price Entry extension in the Extensions menu.
We are looking into other services we can use instead to resume the automatic downloads.
Currently, the mobile app is an add on to the main desktop program, and only has very basic functions like viewing and editing transactions.
There are existing suggestion tickets in our system, regarding the addition of many more features including budgets and reminders. I'm afraid I can't supply any information on prospective release dates. We have a policy of not creating release dates that we are then held to - we think this policy results in higher quality releases.
We do also have long-term plans to do have a full version for iOS and Android, however this full version will be a little while. We have already setup the syncing infrastructure for it, but an app like Moneydance is large enough that there are a lot of details to work out still.
