The site is full of threads on this subject, take some time to read them.

There is no fix at this time for the Quotes and Exchange Rates extension now that Yahoo has withdrawn this free service. The best information I have read regarding a possible future alternative to Yahoo defunct service comes from Sean the lead software developer. An extract from his post states “I'm currently adding some more public services to the extension, and anyone else is welcome to add their own or suggest some for us to integrate. We're happy to add any paid services as well - please let us know if you have any preferred sources, even if they require a subscription fee.”

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/439730592017-11-07T17:20:01Z2017-11-07T17:20:02ZAny update on stock prices

For what it is worth, I'm sure there will be a fix. I use the "stock quote" app on Android and it broke about the same time. For a few days it didn't work at all, and then a day or two ago an updated version was released which seems fine. Looks like they had exactly the same issue and found an alternate source for the information. I have no idea what that source is unfortunately.

bwainscotttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/439730592017-11-07T18:02:32Z2017-11-07T18:02:33ZAny update on stock prices

Just an observation: There are many discussion threads on the stock update issue, many covering the same territory over many months. Why not add a banner or something to the help/discussion page to let users know you are aware of the problem and working on a fix?
Also, the stock update issue should have been addressed proactively. IK and some Moneydance users have known it was coming for quite some time. A fix should have been implemented before the feature stopped working altogether. One gets the feeling that the developer is blaming Yahoo for no longer providing a free service that Moneydance took advantage of. And that strikes me as unfair and a bit low.
Please find a fix for this issue soon or I shall have to move on.

Norbert Kolbtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/439730592017-11-07T18:08:18Z2017-11-07T18:08:18ZAny update on stock prices

Same with iPhone. But they’re still getting quotes from Yahoo, so it must be contractual, and likely so with android as well. I imagine what most of us common users would like to see is a publicly accessible source; which might be the brunt of the problem.

Christopher
