Cannot sync stock price
I has been going on for a month now. I cannot sync stock/mutual fund prices.
I am using version 2015.7 but have also tried 2017.6. Both failed.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Johnny

Hi Johnny,
With MD 2017.6, you also need to install v.1012 of the Quotes & Exchange Rates Updater extension.
The Q&ER updater will prompt you for an API key from AlphaVantage and provide a field for you to enter it.
Make sure that the drop-downs in the Q&ER updater are set to AlphaVantage.
The servers at AlphaVantage are notable slower than those at Yahoo and Google.
Some users are reporting inaccurate quotes. Some are reporting that Mutual Fund quotes do not update until late at night or early morning.
There are two alternative workarounds that require some user interaction. If you're interested, let me know and I'll dig up the links to them.

Hi Kevin,
I update the extension to v1012. Switched to AlphaVantage with my own API key requested from the we site.I am still getting errors. MSFT for example did not get updated.I unchecked that stock symbol and I got one less error.
So I know Moneydance failed to retrieve the quotes.Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
Johnny

Hi Johnny,
I have been using hleofxquote's free tool for stock quotes. It's one of the alternate workarounds that I mentioned.
What it involves is a one-time setup of entering your ticker symbols, downloading your quotes and saving the results as a QIF file which you then import into Moneydance.
It requires Java so you'll also need to install that if you don't already have it installed.
If you're interested, you can get the hleOfxQuotes-gui-Build_20171207_165.zip file here - Click the 'Download' button

I posted a screenshot of the tool here:

I am not support staff, just a user.
For anyone who is interested take a look at this thread on a third-party Quote and Exchange Rate Program from hleofxquotes.

Hope this helps.
