Investment transfers between investment companies
I switched from Scottrade to TD Ameritrade. Moneydance’s handing of this is very bad. I uploaded the transactions from Scottrade. It lists the transaction type as SellXfr, which is correct. It lists the security being transferred, the account it’s going to (TDA), and the number of shares. The share price defaults at $100, but that doesn’t matter.
On the TDA side, Moneydance lists the transaction type as Xfr instead of BuyXfr. The only other information is that the transaction came from Scottrade. There is no security name and no number of shares. I tried to fix this manually, but Moneydance will not let me edit the transaction in the TDA account. I switched the Scottrade transaction type to Xfr, but that didn’t help. I uploaded the transactions from TDA, but the security name and share numbers were not there.
Why is the key information not going to the second account?
