I have turned off the "update" extension for the mutual fund/stock price update through Alpha. I am tired of updating pricing manually only to have this worthless extension revert to prices from two days prior...what's the purpose. No resolution since October 31st. That's a lengthy couple of weeks!

I am not support staff, just a user.

I am currently using a stand-alone program that was originally developed to help out users of MS Money when Microsoft stopped supporting that product. The developer is actively supporting this software adapting it to work with Moneydance. More feature in the pipeline. This current build as far as I can see is very stable and the quotes very consistent. No strange prices. It has a lot of useful features. These include, obtaining prices from many stocks and fund quoted on different exchanges. The ability to convert quotes from one currency to another. Convert prices in Pence to Pounds, if required, for UK stocks and funds. Provide a means for importing all this data into Moneydance. Importing exchange rates.
Anyway, here is a link the relevant thread
Download the attached PDF in post 3, use the links to download the programs and follow the instructions on how to use.

    Hope this helps

    hi, tedkaz
Can you provide feedback and comment on how well the stand-alone program performs in the thread

One of the many things I like about it is the ability to see all the price quotes before you import into Moneydance.

    Hope it helps
