Updating security prices
I am trying to update mutual fund security prices and come up with a bottom line figure. I go under quotes and exchange rates and hit update but all I get is the same figure and error message. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Hi Frank,
What version and build number of Moneydance are you using? (Menu bar > Help > About Moneydance)
What build number of the Quotes & Exchange Rates Updater are you using? (Menu bar > Extensions > Manage Extensions > Q&ER Updater)
Did you purchase Moneydance thru the Moneydance website?

Update your version to MD 2017.6 (1656)

Version 1012 of the Q&ER Updater should be OK. Did you attain the free, API key from AlphaVantage?
Make sure to choose AlphaVantage from the relevant drop-down lists in the Q&ER updater.

I was able to update Moneydance but still not getting the mutual funds to update. Is there a way to do it manually?

Hi Frank,
The easiest way that I've found to enter quotes manually is by using the Security Price Entry extension. It pretty straight-forward. Set the Date, enter the quote, check mark the option to make the price current and click Apply.
Were you able to get the API key from Alphavantage?
What's the ticker symbol that won't update?

One more thing. I am going to try the mobile app on my ipad. Is it hard to work? Do i need dropbox?

Hi Frank,
I'm afraid that I can't offer any insights into the mobile app. I don't have an i-Pad / i-Phone and I was weaned on Windows. :\
