Alphavantage no longer seems to be updating

I'm running MD 2017.8 (1675). I just updated it trying to resolve my issue. I'm not getting updates. I have Alphavantage installed, Currency Exchange Rates -> Do Not Update; Security Prices -> Alphavantage (API key is same as when it used to work well). The attached screenshot was taken the moment MD completed security updates. It says 45 quotes obtained (see attached), but I don't believe it. I watched as it scrolled through my holdings. It couldn't find PG, QRVO, or others shown in the screenshot. I saw in a previous discussion someone enabling Currency Exchange Rates to Alphavantage (even though I have no foreign currency, neither did the post). It found a couple securities, but not many. Has the Alphavantage become an issue?

   I checked the four securities visible in your screen shot and Alpha Vantage returned prices for all four.

   It has been known for Alpha Vantages server to go down from time to time.

   If you continue to have issues with the Q & ER extension then why not try the alternative.

   I tried your four example securities in the stand-alone program and they all returned quotes, see screen shot. This data can easily be imported into Moneydance.

   Thanks! I'm looking into it. This morning Alphavantage found a lot more quotes. But I'll look into this solution.

   I've successfully used hleofxquotes. It is only a little bit more cumbersome than having it all done automatically. But it ends up being a faster solution because Alphavantage took some time to find and update. The instructions appeared formidable for a non-techie, but in fact they were excessively clear! Thanks for the help!

   Really glad the stand-alone program worked for you. It’s the extra features that on first read make things look complicated, but for most people who don’t need them it’s really straight forward. I found I was more confident in the results. You can see exactly the prices returned and if any symbols could not be found. With the Q & ER extension I was never absolutely sure if all my securities were found and returning a valid price. Ended up checking each one in its price history window.

   I meant to ask which method did you use to import the prices into Moneydance.
   Also can you confirm you are using a Mac.

   I import the csv file using the drop down extension menu to my mac.

   I also forgot to mention I use Mike Bray's Security Price Uploader. For the java app, I use the Yahoo selection. FT gives me the wrong security for ANGL.
