Stock Quotes Not Updating

I am using Moneydance 2017.7.1 (1671). Some stock quotes download but others do not. Tried to do test through the stock quotes synchronizer and received the error in the attached file. Stocks like S, and DHR should update. S has not updated since 5/25/2018. I am using v1015 of the quotes and exchange rate updater. Yes, I have an alphaadvantage key. Yes, I have alpha advantage selected for stock quotes. I have do not download selected for exchange rates. What is the deal here?

   I kept de-selecting stock quotes until they finally worked. All updated now. Took 5 or 6 times though.

   Hi wizzapper

   Alpha Vantage seems to suffer from the issue you describe from time to time. Can be frustrating and time consuming.

   There is a free alternative that does not suffer from these issues, it a stand-alone program that was originally developed to help out users of MS Money when Microsoft stopped supporting that product. The developer is actively supporting this software and has adapted it to work with Moneydance. This current build very stable and the quotes very consistent. Two sources are available, not Alpha Vantage. No strange prices. It has a lot of useful features. These include obtaining quote for stocks & funds, from many stock exchanges US, Canada, UK, Europe and Australia to name but a few. Provide a means for importing all this data into Moneydance. You can also import exchange rates along with your security prices. The program is in java, like Moneydance and thus runs on Windows, Mac and Linux computers.

   I entered your two symbols S and DHR into the program and tried both sources, both returned the same quote prices, see screen shot.
