Alphavantage Stock Price Updates
I have to say I find this update hopeless. I have a number of stocks where the output changes from pounds to pence at will even over a few minutes. Consequently I find I am having to disable more and more stocks to retain the history integrity which of course follows the differing output. This was supposed to be an adequate replacement for Google but it is so poor as to be in the main unworkable. Do you have a different/better solution?

Mike
It is strange but not one I put in nor is it in the original hle file.
I did however check and found that the second data set (which was causing the problem) had no default currency set.
As it happens this turned out to be a problem on hle as well.
I have made GBP the default currency and thus far it seems to work.
I think it would be helpful to include in your instructions a requirement to check and if necessary correct the default currency making sure there is nothing shown which is not a currency. I found a : in my list which certainly didn’t come from me!
Anyway it now seems to work but I will check again when markets open.
I assume automatic mode does a “select all” prior to saving the prices or does it have a different way on auto?
Michael

Thanks for getting back to me and for the suggestions. I am sure Derek Kent will look at the instructions. On Auto run it uses the saved parameters. So set up the parameters on how you want it to run, Save Parameters. From then on the Automatic run will use those parameters. It will do a 'Save All' which saves any non-zero price.
