Can you simply "remove" shares of investment from an accout?
I have a Vanguard IRA, and I get a standard entry showing the removal of a certain number of shares to cover my required annual deduction. The transaction contains the cash value of the shares being removed, LESS the required Federal withholding tax. I wish to simply remove the number of shares involved from the balance, without assigning a category etc. Am I missing something, or do you have any suggestions. In the past this issue has not been a problem with Quicken 2015 or iBank5.
I just bought this upgrade, but based on my beginning experience, I may have just wasted $49.99. If I can't included our IRA accounts, this application does not meet my needs.
Thanks for your help.

Assuming you have this set up as an investment account, in which case you would have to enter this as a sale in Moneydance.
In effect that is what Vanguard are dong they are "selling" a certain number of the shares at a certain price in order to realize the cash needed to pay the costs.
You you have set it up as another type of account you would have to do a withdrawal and would have to assign a category.
Moneydance takes a slightly different approach to Quicken and at this time does not have add or remove share options in Investment accounts
