Recording dates/cost of CD, Stocks when setting up new account with Money Dance

I have not been able to find a way to set up Money Dance by manual entering old dates of Cd and Stock purchases. Quicken allows you to add the stock/Cd and then add the dates/lots without changing cash amount in register. I gather Money Dance does not have this feature, if it does, why is it impossible to find?
