Why are my investments not updating?
This comment was split from the discussion: Why are my investments not updating?
I am having the same or similar issue. Like Lori Ernst, I upgraded to the latest MD version, & then I tried both updating investments & downloading transactions from the financial website, but neither seems to be working.

I split this post off so it will have its own thread.
From the other posts I believe you are attempting a direct download from Franklin Templeton Investments. Are you receiving any error messages? The direct download will not adjust your security prices unless their were transactions downloaded.

I did not receive any error messages Saturday when I 1st tried to download
my transactions. Everything seemed to work as normal, BUT without any newly
downloaded transactions showing up in the investment account. However,
tonight I decided to try again. This time, after completing the download,
the transactions show in the register. So, whatever glitch there was on
Saturday seems to have righted itself.
I do have another issue related to the fact that I have both Roth &
Traditional IRA accounts with the same fund. For some reason the software
always downloads both as the Traditional account, so that I have to go back
& manually change the description of the Roth transactions to the Roth
account. KI now download the Roth accounts 1st, change those to the correct
accounts, then download the Traditional accounts. That at least makes
dealing with the issue a bit easier. FYI I do have each account associated
with the correct distinct account number. Is there anything else I should
look at?
Thank you for your help.

It sounds like the Roth and the traditional IRA are with the same broker but different accounts. If this is the issue it sounds like a mapping issue. Each account held with a broker or family of funds must be its own investment account. The basic rule if the broker has a different account number then its a different investment account in MD.
One of the steps in setting up a direct download is to match the appropriate broker account with the appropriate MD investment account.
If this is the issue, then it sounds like the traditional IRA is downloading to the correct account and the Roth should be set up as its on account and you would have to establish a direct connect for this account as well. Each investment account must be set up individually, as part of the set up is matching the accounts.
If i have totally misunderstood your issue please let me know.
