Download Balances
Is there any way to download just the current balances of my various investment accounts?
I'm not interested in the individual transactions, I only want to retrieve the account balances to display on the summary page.

I'm sorry, no your account balances in the registers are based on transactions.
If you don't care abut the specific securities in an investment account, you can set them up as asset accounts and have the balance of the account be the value of the investment funds. Each month you can make an adjusting entry with the income catagory "gain/loss on income value" to the asset account from your statement balance.
