One of my mutual funds is treated differently than another. If I enter a price for a given day for one of the funds and hit new to enter it into history, that historical point is remembered when I leave Money Dance and re-open Money Dance. For the other mutual fund, the historical entry is not part of history when I leave and re-enter Money Dance.

    Hi Michael.

Is this related to the thread you started at http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/problems/49680-pricd-of-gold
    and
    http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/problems/49696-manually-en...

What version and build of Moneydance are you running?
To check the build, you are running see HELP – ABOUT MONEYDANCE. e.g. 2017.10(1706).

What is the operating system are you running, Windows, Mac, Linux?

Can you give an example of a securities tickers symbols whose manually added price is remembered and another whose new price is lost on a restart of Moneydance.

    I have Moneydance 2017.8 (1691).
The 2 mutual funds in question are AMECX and WSHCX, both located
on the NASDAQ Exchange. Yesterday AMECX shows the current price to be
20.48 but MD would not remember
it in history, reverting back to previous day’s value of 20.39 in history.
    Today
(12/28/18) I again entered the 20.48 value into history but had to change
the date from 12/28/18 to 12/27/18. This
seemed to work after leaving MD and re-entering MD. Yesterday WSHCX
correctly showed 40.23 as current price and 40.23 as a value in MD
history.Today the 40.23 was still in history even thought the current price
reverted back to the 39.85 value
of 12/26/18. No such issues with my
regular stocks like CSCO or AA.

    Hi Michael.

The build of 2017 you are running is old, try updating to the latest build for free from https://infinitekind.com/download-moneydance-personal-finance-software

This build could well fix the issue you are having.

There has been a very small number of reports of Alpha Vantage posting the wrong prices. I experienced such am issue before abandoning the extension “Quote and exchange rate update”r. You could try changing the source to IEX to see if that supports your securities and provides more stable prices.

Failing that I tested both your securities AMECX and WSHCX in the free third-party Quote Loader and both the sources it supports returned the correct prices without any issues.
Give the Quote Loader a go.

    Hope this helps.

I had the same type of problems with IEX. Where is this Quote Loader to
    which you are referring?
