Moneydance can track foreign investments.
There is a free third-party Quote Loader that will obtain Quotes and save them to Moneydance in the currency you have set the security to.
Example your base currency is the Canadian Dollar. You have a number of securities traded in US Doller. In moneydance you set these up as US Dollar securities. The Quote Loader will obtain these securities in US Dollars and use the CAD/USD exchange rate to convert to Canadian Dollars before importing into Moneydance.
See the attached example. The price for Apple is obtained in USD and listed under Trade Currency as USD (186.53). The exchange rate CAD/USD is also obtained. Quote Loader detect you have set up Apple as a security having a currency of CAD in Moneydance, so it uses the exchange rate to convert to CAD as seen under New Price (248.7807) and that is the price imported into Moneydance. Had Apple been set up as a USD security in Moneydance it would have been imported as a USD value. In Moneydance for the purposes of reports etc Moneydance would have converted to CAD.

Try thing out for yourself.
