I am New to Moneydance and am presently setting it up in demo mode.
I have a SMF which I am recording for and part of the investments are 8 shares which periodically send dividends. At present I have those 8 shares listed under one heading called "------Shares". How would I handle a dividend that comes in from one of those shares which is deposited in my trading account?

    Hi,

    What is a SMF?

    In simple terms, as follows:
    - create an investment account
    - add 8 securities; one for each of your different shares/funds
    - perform a BUY for each of your funds
    - perform DIV transaction for each fund dividend.

Thanks Stuart. That should do it.
I misssed a letter out and it should have been SMSF which stands for Self Managed Super Fund.
