Sweep Account Interest blows up the Investment Reports

I am trying to run the Investment Reports extension but, on nearly all my investment accounts, it fails to run and gives the error "Error in investment account: <Account Name> Security: must start with either a Buy, BuyXfer or Short, but instead starts with a DIVIDEND' on the first transaction reporting interest paid by the sweep account. It seems that pretty much all brokerages sweep the uninvested cash in your account into a money market or similar account that pays interest; it's automatic. I've tried leaving the security field blank on the interest transactions (which is the way they came over from Quicken) and I've tried putting in a dummy security name.both ways cause the error. I don't want to have to try to enter buy and sell transactions for the sweep account; that would be a lot of extra transactions. Does anyone know an easy way to handle the sweep account interest in a way that lets the Investment Reports work?

    Don,

I did a work around this problem. The security of my sweep has the name of "Fidelity Government Money Market" so I did a BUY transaction for this security of $0.00 and 0.000 Shares dated BEFORE the first sweep transaction in all my brokerage accounts. This made the investment reports happy.

Thank you. That worked. The report is being generated now.
