The new Quote Loader
TIK has improved the security on the use of unsigned extensions. This is in build 1899 which is still in preview mode. Once it is released for general use you will see a warning message on the summary screen if you are using unverified extensions. This included all of my extensions. I have worked with TIK to get my extensions verified which includes Quote Loader. These are now available on my repository in https://bitbucket.org/mikerb/moneydance-2019/downloads/.
To verify an extension I have had to make my source code available to TIK. The author of the back end of Quote Loader (hleofxquotes) was not prepared to do this and thus I have redesigned Quote Loader to be standalone. I would like to thank hleofxquotes for his work and help in making Quote Loader an extension of choice.
I have asked TIK to add Quote Loader to the list of available extensions. This is being considered.
DerekKent23 has written/updated a PDF on how to install and set up Quote Loader. This is accompanied by a couple of videos. These assume Quote Loader has been added to the list of available extensions. Before that list is updated please download the file securityquoteload.mxt from my repository (https://bitbucket.org/mikerb/moneydance-2019/downloads/) and add it using the MD Extensions/Manage Extensions/Add from File. The updated PDF will be available shortly.

Not sure what’s going on but some questions.
What version/build of Moneydance are you running.
What is the date format under FILE – PREFERENCES.
I can only see part of the Quote Loader window so what is the Quote Loader build and can you post for one security its ticker, full name and last price you have. What currency are you working in.

Hi tlist809,
If you don't mind my jumping in here... per your screenshot you have a last price date of 06/12/2190 for ticker AGTHX.
You should try deleting that quote from the security history. Then run QL again.
Hopefully doing so will allow the more recent quote to be honored.
QL v.3053 is available on Mike's site.

I woke up this morning and thought of the price history and I saw the bad quote dates and deleted them, Just as -Kevin said. They may have gotten in there while trying to go a different route to get my process (download as csv from yahoo and trying to import them.
Please forgive my slow thought process in this. I will be wait for an answer from the author.

Hi tlist809,
Something that I experienced while using Mike's 'Security History Loader' extension is that it requires a 2-digit year format. e.g. MM/dd/yy.
Using a 4-digit year format (MM/dd/yyyy) caused the extraordinary future dates to be applied to the quotes.
Formatting the date column of the CSV file to a 2-digit year format (and saving) resolves the matter.

I downloaded Quote Loader v3053 from Mike's site, but when I try to import it I get
the attached error.

while Mike is working on a fix for the download price problem I tried FT and I was playing around and found that changing the exchange for the stocks in error and trying different ones from those that use to work I was able to get all 101 downloaded.

Quote Loader is a third-party extension that has been reviewed and signed by Infinite Kind (Moneydance).
For Moneydance 2019 to 2022 latest Quote Loader build is 3053.
**UPDATE**
• Fix issue that prevented Quote Loader from obtaining data from the source Yahoo and Yahoo HD due to changes at Yahoo.
• Add two new Exch Mod for source FT and FT HD
o NASDAQ CCM = NASDAQ Consolidated Capital Market – code :NAQ

• Fix bug preventing TEST right click Exch Mod from working for tickers with spaces.

Thank you Mike and Derek for your quick work on this unexpected complication. Updates via Yahoo HD worked for my 200 securities. All exchange rate updates failed, but that's a minor issue for me.

A post from Mike Bray.
A new build of Quote Loader has been made available. Click on Extensions. Select Manage Extensions and scroll down/up to Quote Loader. It should show a build of 3053. Click on Install. Restart Moneydance once installed.
In this new version a source of Yahoo does not find the last trade date. It defaults to the date you run Quote Load. If you use Yahoo HD as a source the correct date is found.
A few issues have been found:
1. If your base currency is USD a source of Yahoo HD does not load currency rates, a source of Yahoo does
2. If your base currency is USD the sources FT and FT HD donot work for currency rates.
I will correct these problems but this will be done in the New Year.

I am getting my prices loading but it's not automatically updating my securities prices in my investment accounts. I have to manually select all and then press on Save Selected Values. What am I doing wrong?
I'm using V3057 of QL and 2022.5 of MoneyDance.

I don’t use auto run at start myself so to ensure a bug has not crept in I just ran a test and all worked as expected. Set up auto run per PDF, closed Moneydance and re-opened it. See screen shot.
Can you confirm you have set up Auto Run as page 7 and 8 of my PDF attached to post 327, in this discussion, including clicking on the RESET AUTO RUN button after making you setting?

Hi there everyone,
I have just updated to v3057 of QL.
All is working again, except that even with Yahoo HD as the source - it is not detecting that I am missing historical prices when I perform a Get Prices. The last date on when I successfully obtained prices was the 09/12/22. I have checked this in the Stock Price History?
Am I doing something wrong?

It looks like you are correct, a bug has crept into build 3057 which is preventing historical data from being retrieved. I have reported the issue to Mike Bray the developer.
If this feature is important to you and you don’t want to wait for the next build there is a way to go back to build 3053 but it’s an unsigned build so on installation you will get a warning message.
