I'm a fellow user.
Trial mode is fully functional, the only limitation is that in trial mode you can only manually enter 100 transactions, imports are unlimited..

Peter, reading your message slightly differently, Moneydance is totally into privacy. They work extremely hard to insure your data is your data, and no one else can see it, including themselves.
