When trying to manually enter a mutual fund purchase in Moneydance, the program adjusts the number of units purchased according to the total invested and the price entered. This will give me an incorrect total shares owned. What I need is for the total invested and the shares purchased to be exact. The price should adjust to let the math work out. This has always worked for me in the past -- I must have changed something inadvertently.

I don't see anything here that explains why the program adjusts the number of units purchased. This is totally unsatisfactory!

    I'm a fellow user.

I have test this on Moneydance 2020.2 build 1929. If I enter the # of shares and the total value then the price per share automatically changes for me

I’ve never seen MD do this and I’ve entered 100s of investment txns. It always adjusts the price for me.... Can you let us know exactly what steps you are doing with example data so we can reproduce this?
