Wish to delete stock holding names that are no longer in use but the last version of Moneydance in windows XP says it cannot delete currency in use. (Yes I have the Windows 10 version but XP is very valuable to me anyway). Any help or ideas?

    I'm a fellow user.

The message means that the stock has been assigned to one or more accounts, you can only delete a stock if it has been removed from all accounts first.

BUT removing a stock means removing all transactions in all accounts that involved that stock, so for example all dividends received. So it has the potential to destroy the data integrity of any remaining accounts. You cannot remove a stock and somehow have all transactions relating to that stock remaining.
