Currency allocation

I have a lot of assets allocated in different currencies (investing, bank accounts, assets)
are there any reports or an approach of how to get the total allocation from the currency perspective?

That's an interesting one.... The closest std report is account balances, but that just lists by account and then converts the amount to base currency for the total.. I guess you could export that and fiddle with it..

I have a number of extracts which would get you closer. You probably would want the extract_account_registers and extract_investment_transactions to csv. You can load into excel, insert a pivot table and do it that way... NOTE: This extracts transactions, but if you extract all you would get to the account balances with the pivot summing the totals...

I don't have an extract account balances version (yet) sorry.

NOTE: Mike Bray has a new extract tool (it's in beta). You can get here:

An update... I just tested with Mike's extension and you can get the balances dumped to excel and then pivot on currency etc.... so another route...

FYI - All my extract scripts have now been consolidated into a single script/extension called extract_data. The old individual scripts have been decommissioned.
