It appears to use of the word "shares", whether something is set or not as the suffix value is now the standard behaviour. I do not known if this is intentional or not.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490340972021-02-14T04:57:56Z2021-02-14T04:57:56ZSecurity's Value Suffix Field

Thanks dwg.
I suspect that this is an unintentional change. It makes no sense to use the word "shares" when many securities are not shares. The Change Log makes no mention of this change, so there is no advice of intention.
The Security Value Prefix field shows on the Summary Page, and it is reasonable to expect the Security Value Suffix field to also show on the Summary Page (as it did in build 2006).
IK - unless there is a good reason to make this change, please reverse it.
Strange.
I can leave the suffix in an Edit Security window blank of fill in a work, the result is the same, on the Summary page in the Security Price section each security has no suffix. I don’t see the word Shares?
Went back to build 2006 with the same results.
Are we talking about different things?
The suffix does appear in reports.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490340972021-02-14T17:07:07Z2021-02-14T17:07:07ZSecurity's Value Suffix Field

I see Shares. On the summary page under the Investment Account section the individuals Securities are not picking up the suffixes set for them when using 2021.1(3034). They are just using the word Shares which I agree is wrong.
It’s a bug.
Build 2006 does work correctly.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/490340972021-02-14T21:45:27Z2021-02-14T21:45:27ZSecurity's Value Suffix Field

Hi All,

Thanks for pointing this out! I don't think I made this change intentionally so the next build will use the suffix from the security's settings.

I can confirm that it's correct in build 3039, but it's not in current Mac build 3036 (so I assume it will make it back in when the Mac version gets released (again)).

Perhaps someone can test / verify the windows/linux version is ok in 3039 too?
