Quotes and exchange rates not updating
I am trying to get the above extension to work for the Australian Stock Exchange. All it does it shows in the "Advance" tab that it is "updating" but never finishes the process. It does update the exchange rates, but not the security prices. I double checked the ticker symbols and I am using the correct exchange. I used to use Mike Bray's Quote Loader, but since moving to a new computer, I cannot that program working. It is way too complicated for the average joe to decipher in bitbucket the convoluted way the downloads are organised. When I purchased the 2021 (2006) version of the program I thought that finally the updating of the security prices are simplified, but if anything the process got worse.

Other users have found that Quotes and exchange rates updater no longer supports the Australian stock exchange.
It sounds like you once were using an old version of Quote Loader from Mike. Things have move forward a lot since then. It's now simple to install and use.
The extension Quote Loader is now under EXTENSIONS – MANAGE EXTENSION and installs in the same way as Quote and Exchange Rate Updater.
If you still have the old Quote Loader installed, build number lower than 3021 it needs to be uninstalled

To get an overview take a look at the YouTube videos by using the links on page 1 and 2 of the PDF.

I concur with Derek. I use QL and it was simple to set up and works brilliantly (Much superior to Q&ER). I actually didn’t read the PDF (until many months later) and just set it up at the time in minutes. I say this to explain that it’s not hard. But I would always advise you do actually read the manual first).
