Hi, I downloaded 2021 and the summary page shows that it is in demo mode. Any time I clicked on something, the program would crash. I found in the Knowledge Base that 2021.1 is the most current version. I downloaded that and although it is more stable, I'm still stuck in demo mode and can't make any entries. When I enter my license number, it says that the key is incorrect. Is there a workaround for this? Do I have to buy a new license for this version?

I presume you are on a Mac with Big Sur? If so, read on..

    Download the latest preview:

Change Mac settings, General, Prefer Tabs to Never or Fullscreen

In line with the upgrade policy Moneydance 2021 is a free upgrade for anyone that directly purchased Moneydance 2019/2020. If you purchased an earlier version then upgrades are available at a 50% discount.

In addition to the above information, I'd also add that you do not have to upgrade to the latest version if your previous version was meeting your needs.

Stuart, I tried that to no avail, then I read dwg's post and realized that I have to pay ½ price for this upgrade. I didn't realize that. I thought all upgrades were free. Anyway, I paid and it seems to be working now.

Thanks to all for all your help!

Yes. I suggested the preview as you had already installed 2021.
