I understand that by using the Lots Matching method that I will get a more accurate cost basis than the crazy number that the average cost method button yields. It appears that the program simply is not taking my input.

Can someone send me a step by step process for doing lots matching? I don't know whether to click the red dot or OK whenever I get the window that says I have not selected the correct number of shares (which is an erroneous comment in context). I think i am cancelling out my work, but no matter what I try nothing changes.
