anything happening to get Charles Schwab to download this year
Up until the end of 2021 I was using the work around of dlownloading a csv file from Schwab and converting to an OFX using propersoft transactions but the first time I tried this year not all the information was transferred to the OFX file. Cumbersome but could get the results.
I can not find recent conversation posts addressing this problem. Has Moneydance given up or is it working on some new way to get things to work.
I did read something about a service called Plaid but do not know what that is or how I would use it?
Can someone from Infinate Kind please address this?
Roy

I'm a fellow user.
The Moneydance+ solution (Plaid) is being worked on. TIK have just received approval from Plaid to download Investment transactions using their system - They class this as a different service with different billing and different API.
At the moment we have been told that the programming required in Moneydance to get this working is being carried out, after that it will go into a testing phase before being released.

DWG
Thank you for the update!
I am sure I will learn how it will work later but curious minds want to
know.... Is this Plaid something I will need to purchadse or is it something
Moneydance does and I just subscribe to a different Moneydance?

Hi Roy,
This will require a Moneydance+ subscription, which is the only subscription thing we offer. It is $2/month if you've already purchased Moneydance, or $5/month if you want the simplicity of being subscription only.
Thank you DWG for posting the info. We're working on the investment account support and will have it finished ASAP!
Thanks,
Sean

Moneydance+ is new feature in Moneydance 2022. It is an optional download service that uses Plaid as the service provider. As it is a paid for service it requires a small monthly subscription in order to use it, you sign up for this service through Moneydance.
There are some articles in the Knowledge Base about Moneydance+

Sean,
I look forward to hearing you got this working and Gladly pay $2 ( I already
purchased Moneydance) to get the downloads back.
When working will it download the actions etc so I don't have to correct
things like xtransfer to mis expense or mis income for items like foreign
taxes and broker charges?
Will you email or make an announcement when all this gets working to those
of us that have had the program for years and want to upgrade?
Hang in there. I think it is terrible what Charles Schwab did to you had
have called them and my money management company many time to log complaints
about it. Figure they should know we customers did not appreciate that they
let the big guys like intuit get the connection and smaller companies get
shut out.

Moneydance can only work with the data it is given and TIK have no control of the data that is provided. So it boils down to how good is the data that the Institution/Plaid provide as to what you may have to do.
I have not seen TIK make announcements via email. There may well be an announcement in a Blog post when it is released, or staff may make posts to relevant forum topics. Users that track the software will see when the capability is added through the software change log, this will be at a pre-release (preview) stage so there will be information when it is getting close to release.

Hi Roy,
We've just released Moneydance 2022.3 (4068). Running this version you should be able to connect to Investment accounts using Moneydance + now.
You can download it from this page.
