Tags for Invesment transactions (eg Dividend Transfer)
I use tags to assist with tax reporting for my wife and me. Investment transactions are included in our tax reports but we need to be able to split them by Tag. Currently this is not possible - for example, a dividend paid into our joint bank account (DivXfer). I enter this in the security register, and use our joint bank account as the transfer account. There is nowhere to assign a tag.
When I run a report filtered by tags, including the joint bank account and investment, the dividend does not show. If I remove the tag filter (or choose "blank" tags) then it does show.
NOTE: I can assign a tag if I view the transaction in the Joint Bank account register but that seems to be ignored probably because it is not the source account.

Hi,
Re-visiting this after a year :).
Are there any plans to support Tags on investment transactions?
As a workaround, I need to enter 3 transactions to a achieve this:
1) "DivXfr" in the register, with dummy category & transfer fields (I use one called "(None)"
2) A split transaction in the bank register:
Split1: receive the dividend (Category=Investment Income and Tag=Me) Split2: send the dividend to the bank (Category = Bank Account, Tag =Me)
It's rather clunky...
