I have had an investment transaction in the past, say November 1, 2021, that I am changing today. I went into Tools->Currencies and changed the exchange rate of that day to 1.2541 USD.

It seems that money dance is rounding this exchange rate value to 1.2500. So a transaction of $4000 CAD shows up as $3200 USD. It should actually show $3189.54 USD. I have no clue what to do here.

Thanks for your message! To change the price of a transaction, you'll have to adjust the amounts in that transaction. This is because the amounts take priority over the price, and also help determine the price. You can still adjust the price, but it must always match the amounts that were entered. Changing the price in the Tools->Currencies window won't affect already entered transactions, but the price and history will be used for reports, graphs, and for default prices when entering new transactions.

When you see the price of 1.2500, would you be able to reply with a screenshot of the window? That might help me figure out what is happening here.

You can read instructions for taking a screenshot here: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

Thanks,
Sean
