Stock Glance Entension
HI,
The price that appears in Stocks at Glance on my summary page, differs from the actual stock price. I ahve tried downloing the quotes several times but no change.
Please compare the securite prices for Bank of Nova Scotia - Stock at Glance $60.53 - Security $78.50

Are you referring to the stock glance extension or the normal price view on the summary / home page?
What is the latest dated price on that stock (not the ‘current price’)? If different, what happens if you make them the same?

Your screenshot does not show the price history. Double click the security to show the history and current price.

One other thing to try. Install/run extract data extension. Select stock glance2020. Just click the button to view. At the display what price is shown for this there?

Ok. So I expect that SG is converting CAD to USD which I’m hiding is your base currency. Possible?

Base currency is CAD and this stock listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
So it should not be any conversion. Previously, it was fine. So not sure if
maybe something changed with the recent software release?

Ok. I’m officially intrigued. Very odd. My own SG2020 is correct…. I have a couple of ideas.
You could check for orphan price history records. Backup FIRST. Run toolbox extension. Update mode. Currency/security tools. Option ‘ Thin/Purge Price History’. Untick simulation. Select purge orphans only mode. Select all securities. Select purge orphans. (You can do the same in simulate first if you like). Restart after use.
After 1. If problem still exists. Post help/console.
I could easily find the issue if I could look into your dataset, but I’m guessing that’s not an option you want to pursue… ;->

Trying to do Step 1 - for some reason though I am not able to select the
3rd option "Only Delete Orphans Mode"? its listed but not selectable as
mouse and error keys are not able to choose the option?

I think this means you have no orphans.

I’m stumped. Can you do this.
Backup first.
Toolbox. Enable update and advanced modes.
- run. Fix non hierarchical txns. (Might be in security or transaction tools) - run. Diagnose hidden price date. - run. Diagnose currencies.
If no errors. Run advanced, clone dataset. Tick to purge txns. But KEEP security and currency history.
Open cloned dataset. Go to investment account. Add the security. Create a fake buy for 1 qty. what does SG say now?

Hang on… I’ve just noticed that Bank of Nova Scotia is shown twice in the last screen shot. Why is that? Do you have it listed twice in Securities or something?
