Can you remove securites from the security detail page if stock amount is zero?
This is similar to summary page zero amounts.
I don't see an easy way to do this, it if is possible at all.

Which page exactly?

Go to any investment account. Go to security detail. You get a pick list (for me, the first one is always old and zero, but that’s not pertinent)
It would be nice if the pick list could be culled by saying “don’t show securities with a zero value.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi dtd
The drop down list on the Security Detail tab as you say includes all securities. You cannot remove a security were it contains transactions, even if it now has zero shares.
Some user rename the securities to start with a Z so they are all at the bottom of the drop down list.
Hope this helps.

Yes, that’s what I thought, I have tons of matured cds, and some stocks I abandoned (sold) years ago.
So I guess I could do ZOLDCD - kdkdkdkkdkdkdk
But I probably won’t bother. It’s just a pain walking through them. It would be nice if you could even do “inactive”

A hide option for securities is one of those things that has been requested.

I think there could be an easy solution to this.. If the Edit Account window was tweaked to expose the inactive parameter ('is_inactive') on accounts that are of a SECURITY type, then the Security picklist on the Investment Account, Securities Detail screen would dim the inactive security (accounts). The relevant class is: SecurityAccountInfoPanel
I've tested this. Setting the parameter, dims out that security, within that Investment account in the pick list....

Given the 4097 preview, Stuart, your work on exposing the inactive item, and making it available in toolbox is great - and it dims the security in the picklist, so great work.
Still, I'm hopeful that Sean can implement what is said in the 4097 notes:
* Added an option to the security account settings window to indicate that the account is inactive, and prevent it from appearing in the security details view
