Trust/OEIC prices not being available from Yahoo.</p>
<p>Having just checked I can now get these prices (ISIN codes) on

code in the security price download it returns an error.</p>
<p>Has anyone been able to download the available OEIC prices??</p></div>philtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365951892015-04-16T17:18:39Z2015-04-16T19:23:20ZYAHOO UK Finance security prices<div><p>Hi Phil,</p>
<p>Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't appear to be making UK mutual fund
prices (among other data) available for download for some reason,
even though they're showing up on their website. There's a
suggestion on Yahoo's support area for them to re-add these funds
back for download, which you can vote for here:</p>
<p><a href="https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/207809-finance-gs/suggestions/6402750-please-fix-option-quotes-which-are-not-downloaded">
https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/207809-finance-gs/suggestions/64...</a></p>
<p>Unfortunately you'll have to enter prices manually until they
re-enable downloads for these accounts.</p>
<p>I'm sorry for the inconvenience! Please let us know if we can be
of further assistance!</p>

because of the lack of downloadable UK fund price information for
the many funds I own/track. ACEMoney manages to obtain price
information from Yahoo Finance UK, so I don't concur with the view
that this information is not available for download as asserted
above. This matter could be one that makes me switch unless it can
be restored within Moneydance. I agree that some few selected funds
are not available, either on the website or for download.</p></div>Petertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365951892015-05-21T15:03:14Z2015-05-21T15:03:14ZYAHOO UK Finance security prices<div><p>Peter,</p>
<p>Have you ever had <em>Bloomberg</em> as a data service in
downloading prices in ACEMoney? Can one download differing price
quotes that Yahoo Finance UK cannot? I am curious about that
source. I am wondering if that might be considered as another
choice in MoneyDance?</p>

<p>I read this question on one of the AceMoney forums; so I thought
Bloomberg must be one of the data services.</p>
<p><em>"Is there any timescale for fixing the data downloads from
the Bloomberg Service; I have always found it to be the best, both
accurate and fast?"</em>.</p>
<p>So there must be a bug somewhere. (G)</p>

<p>Back at base, I checked:</p>
<ul>
<li>
<pre>
<code> Yes, you can use Bloomberg on ACEMoney and, better still, you can mix the source of downloads to be from Bloomberg and/or others such as Yahoo Finance UK. Good option because some prices are not available in Yahoo that are in Bloomberg.</code>
</pre></li>
<li>
<pre>
<code> Morningstar is not a current option in the dropdown on ACEMoney, so you would have to download it as a file and then import, which is clumsy and probably fraught with problems.</code>
</pre></li>
</ul>
<p>So, it looks like Moneydance is falling behind as a product for
me as the Yahoo source is no longer available and there is not news
of an intent to fix it in the future. Pity, because it is a
slightly better product in some other respects.</p>

<p>I have found for some months now that Yahoo UK doesn’t
work for Mutual Funds, although it continues to work for stocks. It
used to until then and the reason is some formatting or access
change within Yahoo I recall from a blog reply. Using Yahoo USA
give some of the Fund prices, but not all. I have found no
commitment for the fund prices to be restored on the blog.</p>

continuing excuses about UK fund prices not being available. If
other packages can download them, why does MD continue to bleat
that it cannot. I am seriously thinking about looking for
alternatives, especially with the appalling colour issues which are
preventing me from moving to MD 2015.</p></div>aj2wilsontag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365951892015-06-13T14:04:27Z2015-06-13T14:04:30ZYAHOO UK Finance security prices<div><p>I concur that MD is falling behind and what is more worrying is
that there does not seem to be a commitment to solve the UK fund
price problem. Having run both in parallel now for over a month and
am tipping in favour of ACEMoney and dumping MD unless there is
some news to say that the problems will be solved.<br>
Interestingly, Yahoo Finance (USA) does download some prices for UK
funds if selected, but it is only Current (which seems only weekly
so not very useful) and without History. Google in MD offers
neither.<br>
ACEMoney on the other hand has most UK prices from Yahoo Finance
UK, which proves that downloads are possible and not prevented by
Yahoo UK, daily. I did manage to catch all of those not available
on Yahoo UK via Bloomberg, but that curiously stopped a couple of
days ago. I'm hoping it will restart as it will be the tipping
point for ditching MD and moving to ACEMoney exclusively.</p></div>Peter Burleightag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/365951892015-06-13T14:20:03Z2015-06-13T14:20:03ZYAHOO UK Finance security prices<div><p>Sounds like you have thought through the alternative in detail -
do you<br>
know if ACEmoney would handle a straight import from MD and whether
it is<br>
able to sync with a mobile android device (as MD does). Thanks</p>

<p>YES, I found it imported cleanly using QIF format from MD, one
export/import file for each account. A few few cross-checks
afterwards are advisable. It also picks up recurring payees,
categories and all of that sort of thing, which I found
excellent.</p>
<p>NO, it does not have a HandyBank sync option like MD, but they
say they are developing one (no timescale that I have found).</p>
