"Special" investment categories imported from Quicken
Looking for recommendations on what to do with all the special hidden categories Quicken liked to use which transferred over to MD.
Stuff like _DivInc, _DivIncTaxFree, _RlzdGain, etc. It looks like MoneyDance assigned them to something else (or ignored) since they are all 0 dollar and don't seem to have any transactions assigned.
Safe to delete?
Any idea what those categories might have gotten assigned to since Quicken was doing something with them...
Thx

If a category has no transactions in it it is safe to delete.
The Quicken hidden categories are often used in Investment income reporting, so the investment income categories in Moneydance are a good place to look, you will often see that a hidden category is involved with specific Quicken action type so looking at how those transactions came over from Quicken and what category they use is also a good approach, since Moneydance uses the category that is in the QIF file to determine how to record the transaction.
