Matching Downloaded Securities

For my Fidelity retirement account, when I download, the "Please choose the security that matches the information below" question pops up. However, none of the securities that are added to that account are available in the drop down.
Many securities that are NOT in that particular account are part of the list, but not the ones I'm searching for.

How is that list determined? What can I change so that my security becomes a part of that list?

Thanks for your message! I'm sorry that window is a bit confusing. It is meant to be asking you if the named security is one of the ones that appear in the drop down selector. If not, you can choose "None of the above" and moneydance will add it to the account, and remember that security for future downloads from the same bank.

    Thanks,
    Sean

I knew about that feature, but the security in question has been in my account for years, and it has quite a bit of transaction history. I'd like to have this all linked.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

It sounds like it may be in your account set but not in this specific Investment account.

Defining a security does not make it visible and usable in every Investment account, only when you add a security to a specific Investment account does it create the required structure for the security in that account.

dwg, that is what I was specifically trying to get across in my screenshot (though it could've been more clear).
When I am in this account, the "Securities Detail" page includes the "Small-to-Mid Cap Stock Fund (HW)" in the list of securities within the account. (the very top of the screenshot).

However, when I download within that account, I get the pop-up seen within that screenshot, and that fund is not available in the dropdown.

On the other hand, UBS Emerging Markets Fund, is very specifically not part of that account, but is still available within the dropdown.
At minimum, I'd like to understand how the list of securities in that 'matching securities' dropdown is determined.
