csv field names
I am trying to import a csv file and I am having a problem naming the fields. Fields I need to name are Security, number of shares, price, dividend/interest.
In the file is the line
"Date","Action","Symbol","Description","Quantity","Price","Fees & Comm","Amount"
Does this tell the csv importer what the fields are?
Thank you,
Vince Radice

Moneydance does not support importing CSV files into Investment accounts.
If there is enough data and it meets the requirements like compatible action names, which is a rarity for CSV files, then you can use a converter, often a plug in for a spreadsheet program to convert the file into a QIF file which can be imported.
Also another Moneydance user Mike Bray has create an importer that can bring in limited data into investment accounts from a CSV file
