Toolbox extension. Install. Then select ‘toolbox merge duplicate securities’ on the extensions menu.

As it says, you have data issues. Have you tried running the fix it suggested?
Toolbox. Update mode. Transaction tools.
FIX - Non-Hierarchical Security Acct Txns (& detect Orphans)
Then when your data issues are fixed, try again.

Have you launched the toolbox extension from the extensions menu?

You should navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions->Install Toolbox
Launch the Toolbox and select Update Mode
Choose MENU: Transactions tools, finally choose the ‘ FIX - Non-Hierarchical Security Acct Txns (& detect Orphans) option.
You should accept the disclaimer and follow the instruction on your screen.
Finally, restart Moneydance.

No luck. i did this. just restarted md. not end of world. just trying to
clean data.

Ok. I think the issue is the securities may be in different accounts.

So yes, you have duplicate securities. Are these the ones you wanted to merge in your original thread? You can now run the merge duplicate securities feature.
