Assigning Security Lots
I have one security that is giving a message "You have allocated an incorrect number of shares" when attempting to match sells to buys, even though the information displayed indicates that the correct number has been selected. Also, if I view the Portfolio for this security, it indicates that the cost basis is zero, and if I then click on the security line in Portfolio, the securities detail also shows the cost basis to be zero. If, in the Securities Detail, I then select and open another security, and then return to the problem one, it correctly shows the cost basis.
I am not having this issue with any other securities.

Step 1. Install/run toolbox extension. Does it pop up any warnings?

Only indicates a few potential duplicate securities, not including the
problem stock though.

Ok. I would use toolbox to reset / wipe the lot matching on that security and then match the lots again from scratch.

I tried that - it did not detect any mis-matched records to reset. If I
look at the DIAG Show Open Share Lots, it reports that the cost basis is
invalid as there are mis-matched buy/sells.

Use the option to change it to avg cost. Say yes to wipe lots. Then use the option to change back to lot control. Then manually match the records.
