Moneydance+ : change security match in account

I just added my Vanguard accounts to Moneydance+ downloads. (Yes, I've given up on Vanguard ever fixing the direct connection downloads.) Everything works, but I have a mismatched security.

After transactions were first downloaded, MD asked me to match the downloaded security name to an existing security in my account. I missed one of those, so some downloaded transactions show the security as some strange Vanguard code rather than the security that I named when I set up the account in MD (and that direct connect used). In this case, transactions for the "Federal Money Market" security show up as a security named "B1VZBS5".

So I want to reset the "matching security" in Moneydance+ downloads, i.e., change the B1V... to Federal MM. I can't find any documentation on this. Is it possible?

I do see that the invaluable Toolbox extension has a function to zap my MD+ settings completely -- I guess I could do that, but it sounds pretty radical just to fix one security mismatch!

    Hi,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

You could navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions (when the Toolbox is already installed) you will see the option Toolbox: Move investment transactions.

You'll be asked to ensure that the Quote and Exchange Rates Updater or the Quote loader are not updating your security prices while you are moving/merging investment accounts.

In the resulting window you can choose HELP/GUIDE prior to proceed moving your investment transactions from an account to the other.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
