transferring cash from investment account to checking
When I tried to transfer cash out of an investment account, I have no option of which account to transfer it to. I would like to transfer it to the checking account that is open.
I just read the suggestions, and the category option does not show up. Now I cannot delete the transaction and start over. This is crazy, people!

Highlight the transaction right click and select delete from the menu.

You need to do an Xfr txn from the investment account to the target account. Put the target into the category field.
Send screenshot of your transaction.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Sam
I assume you are trying to transfer cash from the Investment Account to a Checking Account.
The action used is Xfr in the following two methods.
Instead of being in the Register tab click the Bank Register tab where the Category field is available to select your Checking Account. Two me this method is more consistent with the way a transfer is done is a Bank or Credit Card accounts. Once you have entered the transaction if you click on the Register tab you will see the transaction also appears there.
Alternatively in the Register tab use the Transfer field to select your checking account. after entering the transaction clicking on the Bank Register tab will show the transaction there as well.
Hope this helps.
