I finally got the extension to work by downloading it from a link provided by support and installing it from a file. It now accepts my Alphavantage API key. I've selected 25 of the 35 securities I own to update and it downloads those updates. I'm encountering grossly inflated security prices though so I've had to manually update the prices after the extension runs. Example MSFT at $174,299.40 price per share.

I see there is a pending update to the extension but I have not installed it because I am using the one provided privately by support so I'm not sure I should update that version with the pending update.

1) Do I need to install the pending update to the extension considering the source of where I got the extension itself?

2) Any idea why the security prices I'm getting are incorrect and so inflated?

3) Is there a way to disable the scheduled download of security prices? I would rather do it manually after market close. I can choose "yearly" as update frequency then open and update manually as a workaround. A "manual" option would be nice though.

Currency Exchange Rate: Do not update
Security Prices: Alphavantage
Update Frequency: Daily
Next Update: 7/12/2025
Stock Exchange: "Default" for all securities.

   What version of MD and what build of the extension do you have?

   If you continue to have issues with Quotes & Exchange Rates try the extension Quote Loader under EXTENSIONS – MANAGE EXTENSION

   See screenshot of your example ticker MSFT.

   Download the PDF’s attached to post 220 and have a read.

   To get an overview take a look at the YouTube videos by using the links on page 1 and 2 of the PDF.

   The Quick Start Video is intended to give a quick overview so the user can see if Quite loader looks like it could work for them. The Short Video expands the user’s knowledge giving more detail. The Full Video goes even further but may be too wordy for some.

   The PDF reinforces what’s leaned in the videos, provides step by step instructions, a must read and provide answers on how to handle less obvious issues some users may come across.

   Let us know how you get on or if you need help just post. If any securities return an error then post your base currency, the Ticker, full Security Name and last price you have and its traded currency or just post a screen shot of the Quote Loader windows after you click GET PRICES.

   Sorry I keep forgetting to include the MD version. I try to keep updated to the latest released build. Currently at 2024.4 (5253)

   Note the historical prices have also changed to inflated values.

   The 7/11/2025 price entry was manually entered. There's a stock split on 5/25/2025 1:1 that didn't actually occur. This is unique to MSFT. None of the others have any invalid stock splits.

   As a follow up your securities retrieved using the extension Quate Loader using a mixture of sources Yahoo HD and Alpha Vantage HD.
