Phone says is synced. Cannot find where the desktop version shows when it synced. Both are set to sync via dropbox. but changes made on phone are not showing up on the desktop version. What is wrong?

Desktop version 2017.2 (1597)
iphone 2.18

I am not support staff, just a user.

You are using an old build of Moneydance so the first thing I would do is update free to 2017.7.1(1671) assuming you direct from A number of sync issues have been fixed since 2017.2 (1597)

    Then rest syncing as follows.

    1. Use your phones setting menu to disconnect.

    2. Set Moneydances “Sync Method” to “Don’t Sync” under FILE – SYNCING, then click OK.

    3. Use FILE – EXPORT BACKUP to save a backup in case something goes wrong.

    4. Then shut down Moneydance. If you are using Dropbox as the backup location wait till the Dropbox icon states “Up to Date”. This can take some time.

    5. Using your computer, in the Dropbox folder delete the folder “.moneydancesync”. Watch the Dropbox icon and wait till it states “Up to Date”.

    6. Open Moneydance on your computer under FILE - SYNCING, set your “Encryption Passphrase”, set “Sync Method” to “Dropbox Folder”, click OK.

    7. Wait for Dropbox folder “.moneydancesync” and its contents to be created. Check the Dropbox icon states “Up to Date”.

    8. Set up syncing to your mobile devices following this article.

Wait for your data to be synced. Some people have reported that this initial sync can take a long time. If required let it sync overnight.

If in any step you don’t get things how I describe, detail what you are seeing, including screen shots.

    Hope this helps.
