<p>On windows PC the following happen I would hope a Mac performs in the same manner.<br>
Open moneydance it should open in the Welcome to Moneydance window with your data set listed on the right hand.<br>
If you need to search for your data set it is a folder not a file containing other folders and files. It has the naming convention yourdatasetname.moneydance.</p>

I've now located the data file thanks to your guidance. I also found a fact sheet on synchronisation and have followed the instructions to set up the second computer. At the moment it is stuck on "Performing Initial Sync - this may take a while". It's about 30 minutes now and the progress bar hasn't moved. I will just have to wait to see what happens. I've done some sample postings on both Macs and on the iPhone and determined that sync is working correctly.</p>

<p>I have noted that user with Apply computers and mobile devices some time take ages to do an initial sync, strange. My window computers and Android phone take about 30 seconds.<br>
Oh well you got there in the end, that’s what counts.</p></div>derekkent23
