Restart iPad when syncing is stuck
I tried doing what Henry suggested- restart iPad when getting the stuck message "Waiting for Initial Sync". But when I oped Moneydance, there was nothing there and it is no longer syncing.
What do I do next to solve the problem of syncing not working?

What version and build of Moneydance are you running. e.g. 2019.2(1867).
Are you only syncing between one computer and a iPad?
What is your computers operating system?
What syncing method have you used.

Hello,
I’m running version 2017.6(1656) on my MacBook Pro.
I’m syncing only from my laptop to my iPad Pro.
I’m running MacOS Mojave on my laptop.
I’ve chosen Dropbox Connection.

On your computer set Don’t Sync as the syncing method.
On the iPad app Disconnect.
I would suggest you consider updating Moneydance 2017 to 2017.10(1706) from https://infinitekind.com/download_2017
If you have Dropbox Client installed on your computer delete the “.moneydancesync” folder in Dropbox. Otherwise delete this folder by signing into your account online.
Restart syncing from the start. Computer, iPad.
Give time between each step for Dropbox to sync.
Hope this helps
