Not syncing correctly after update
Hi,
I've recently updated my Moneydance and find that my iPhone & iPad have not synced correctly. How can I put this right please?

I'm a fellow user.
A problem with the latest version (MD 2023) when using Dropbox Connection has been reported.
The developer is aware of the issue.

Hi Noel,
I can see you’ve received a reply from one of our knowledgeable Moneydance customers. To add to this useful information I thought it's worth mentioning that for the time being, switching to Dropbox Folder or Shared Folder should restore sync.
Please let us know if you require the detailed steps to achieve this.

Your options are:
1) From your computer: Launch Moneydance and navigate to File->Syncing
Choose Don't Sync and close Moneydance.
From your phone: Launch the mobile app and select Settings->Syncing via Dropbox->Disconnect. Restart your phone
Navigate to File->Syncing and choose Dropbox Folder.
With "Dropbox Folder" you need to have Dropbox installed and running on your computer.
Create a Passphrase (You will need to enter the same later, on the mobile app)
Launch the mobile app and choose the same file as your computer.
Enter your Password to match the Passphrase on your computer.
Finally, enter a "dummy"" transaction on each device and allow a few seconds for them to sync. They should display exactly the same transactions.
2) Bear with us! A new update will be realised within this weekend that will include a fix for the Dropbox Connection bug.

the resolution of the bug will give a new number to the version? how can we get to know the problem is solved?

The update will be posted on this page as soon as it is ready, and it should be called Moneydance (2023.1) or similar.

This is to inform you that Moneydance 2023.1 (5006) is now available from this page.
This version includes a fix to the issue you have reported. You should simply remove the older version and install the new one or choose to overwrite it during the installation.

Whilst I’m writing can I ask you something else please? Is there anyway I can set up the main menu on my mobile devices so it reflects only those “live” accounts that show on my pc? I hope I’ve explained myself, fingers crossed!

For account types that the mobile device displays (Bank accounts, Credit Card accounts, Asset accounts and Liability accounts) the only ones that will not show are the ones marked inactive on the desktop.

Open the transaction register for the account, then select the menu item Account -> Edit Account.
Mark the inactive checkbox.
