Syncing directly to iPhone 14 without the use of cloud solutions such as Dropbox, iCloud etc when simultaneous syncing not required?

It not possible to sync to the moneydance app without using Dropbox if your computers is not Mac of if you are an Apple user exclusively you can use iCloud instead.
In both cases your data is end to end encrypted with the key only being held on your devices.

Just for some background, probably a decade or more ago Moneydance had a WiFi syncing solution that facilitated peer-to-peer communications, thus removing the need for a server of any sort.
Problems were continually encountered with network configuration issues, which were not always able to be overcome, hence the move to use a more client/server solution which networks are generally configured to allow.
This meant the use of services like Dropbox or in the case of desktop/notebook devices additionally most file services. The mobile application since the withdrawal of WIFi has, and continues, to only support services available via an API thus imposing a limitation.

When Moneydance uses Dropbox, it uses end to end symmetric encryption. Keys (syncing encryption passphrase) are not held in the cloud, only on your devices. So, if Dropbox was to be hacked they would only get an encrypted set of files, with no way to open them.
