Syncing freezing
Hi I am trying to set up syncing between two Mac laptops. When I go into File > Sync the sync box doesnt appear and Moneydance freezes. This happens on both computers. I have tried deleting all files in dropbox. Anyone got any ideas?

Use the menubar help option. Select help/show console. Click save (to file). Upload that file here.

Here's your error:
On the basis that you have not already got a working sync method..? If you have sync working with other devices - stop and let me know? Otherwise....
BACKUP FIRST
Install Dropbox client on both computers.
log the dropbox client in and make sure that's working on both computers
On primary..Install/run toolbox extension. update mode. advanced menu. Force reset sync settings...
Then setup sync again. File/Syncing/Dropbox folders... Get the web popup link. Copy / paste the code that appears etc....
Now on the secondary. File/New/Open sync copy. Select the sync dataset you just created....

I don’t have syncing on any device. The Alternative method you describe sounds a bit too techy for me. I’m not that computer literate to do that. I thinks I will just use Moneydance on the one compter. Thanks for trying to help.

Many users of Moneydance are not techy.
Setting up syncing is really a matter of just following the procedure and doing it step by step.
