Is there a date before which I can safely delete txn files from Dropbox? My free storage is full and I don't really want to buy more. The txn folder is just over 2gb

Personally I would use toolbox to force reset sync settings.
Then delete all the .moneydancesync sub folders.
    Then setup sync again.

    Backup first.

So you're implying that the sync file once the sync is completer has no further function or purpose?

The sync files in Dropbox are not relevant / needed for your dataset. If you are using syncing then txn files get put into Dropbox and consumed by the other computer. Once consumed, then the other computer doesn’t need them either.

There is a slight difference if you are using iOS app too.

But regardless. Reset sync settings. Blow it all away. Set sync up again from scratch.

The alternative is to force refresh sync data. That will send a new trunk file via sync to the new computers and then delete the txn files. This is easier, but you have to have enough space temporarily in Dropbox to all this to happen.

Thanks, and I do like the Toolbox extension very much.
